Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $25.50-$45.00 Hourly Job Summary As a Heavy Equipment & Trucking Mechanic at Huntzberry Brothers, Inc., you should possess the ability to perform your work with limited direction and have the knowledge to perform, prepare, install and maintain the trucks and equipment. You will work with our staff in a safe and effective manner to ensure timely completion of our repairs and maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment. Safety is our #1 priority! Responsibilities and Duties Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy duty trucks, vehicles, and other construction equipment Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as, oil changes, tune ups etc. Maintain a schedule, order parts, and document task completed utilizing provided technology Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed Positive interface with service department, supervisors, and clients Maintain functional condition by listening to operator complaints, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions At times provide onsite repair assistance Prepare proper documentation of actions taken Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations Positive interface with service, department, peers and clients Other duties, as assigned Qualifications and Skills Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision Have a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety Must have your own tools Must be willing to work on several types and brands of equipment 5-7 years experience High school diploma or certification in a skilled trade Ability to lift, push, pull in excess of 50 lbs., tolerate exposure to loud noise, dust and toxic materials, and work in constant exposure to outside elements and heat Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, CDL is a plus Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Benefits Medical and Supplemental Health coverage Retirement Plan PTO and Paid Holidays
