JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Summary: The Saw Operator will set up and inspect equipment, install blades, measuring the length to cut to specifications, and operating the machines. The Saw Operator will be required to load raw material into the equipment in a safe and proper manner to achieve the sawing process. The Saw Operator will need to off-load the completed material and inspect its features requirements using various measuring devices and recording the measurement results on the project paperwork. Duties/Responsibilities: Run a metal cutting saw Clean a metal cutting saw Required Skills/Abilities: One or more years using a metal cutting saw Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure. Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. Excellent attendance and a positive ?can do? attitude. Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is a plus One or more years of painting experience is a plus Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk or hear for 1 to 10 hours a day. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward. While performing this job the employee is required to lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a 55 ? 90 degree Fahrenheit environment. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing vision protection, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
