Position Type: Ypsilanti Community High School/Counselor Date Posted: 1/27/2026 Location: Ypsilanti Community High School District: Ypsilanti Community Schools HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR REPORTS TO: Building Principal SALARY: Range is $44.450 to $55,150 per the YCEA Contract SUMMARY: Instructs students in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults. Valid Michigan teaching certificate with SCHOOL COUNSELOR (NT) K-12 endorsement Bachelor degree with required certification Individuals with relevant teaching experience will receive extra consideration. Excellent reasoning ability. Understanding of concepts in your content area. Excellent reasoning ability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Teaches district-approved curriculum. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students. <
