Job Description
Position Type : Middle Level Math (7th, 8th, Algebra 1) with possible coaching duties assigned for girls basketball and volleyball Location: Midland High School Qualifications Valid Arkansas Teaching License or willingness to obtain license through alternate pathway. Job Description This position is responsible for providing high quality instruction and support ensuring student growth as well as current and future success. Employability Skills Actively participate in the PLC process Displays flexibility and adaptability in a variety of situations within the school community Exhibits high levels of work ethic, commitment, and professionalism Maintains and contributes to a positive and productive working and learning environment Commits to effective collaboration within small and large teams Motivates students to learn Teach District approved curriculum daily Uses extensive content knowledge to support individual student growth Implements the school and district’s Multi Tiered System of Support including: Using evidenced based Tier I instruction Create and implement tiered interventions and extensions based on student data Implements evidenced based assessment and grading practices aligned with district systems Progress monitors students' growth (academic/social/behavior) and reports monitoring data to Student Intervention Team Creates and maintains a classroom environment and culture that is inviting to students and conducive and appropriate to learning in both appearance and activities Establishes clear objectives and success criteria for all lessons, units, projects, etc., and communicates these objectives to students Develops and administers content-specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency level
