High School Social Studies Teacher

Full-Time Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher Semester 1 | 2026–27 School Year Our client, a private high school in Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time, long-term, substitute Social Studies Teacher for Semester 1 of the 2026–27 school year. This position focuses on teaching Psychology and AP Psychology within a collaborative and student-centered Social Studies department. The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents, is committed to academic excellence, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This educator will support student engagement and prepare learners for success in AP-level coursework. Responsibilities Teach Psychology and AP Psychology courses during Semester 1 Prepare students for success on the AP Psychology exam Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports student learning Collaborate with Social Studies colleagues on curriculum and instruction Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Support the school’s mission and core values Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred (non-licensed candidates may be considered) Strong background in Psychology or a related field Ability to teach AP-level content and support student exam readiness Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
