PHLEBOTOMIST We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture blood drawing and other specimen collection, such as urine and fecal samples. Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles. Understand and interpret lab orders, physicians' orders, and blood work orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes accurately. Label, centrifuge, and split specimens as required by test protocols. Freeze specimens according to required temperatures and place samples in appropriate containers. Accurately label specimens and follow procedures for transport to maintain specimen integrity. Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Update patient information and record data related to specimen collection. Decontaminate work area and equipment after use. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Venice, FL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
