(2) 1. Full Time 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and (1) PRN - As Needed. Position Highlights: Processes and prepares all tissue for interpretation by the pathologist according to established procedures. Performs all routine and special staining, immunohistochemical assays and frozen sections in accordance with accepted practices and procedures. The Ideal Candidate: Has a bachelor’s degree in health science or related field. Has 3 years’ previous experience. Responsibilities: Receives and handles specimens. Processes specimens using appropriate procedures for tissue processing. Prepares microscopic slides. Performs routine staining procedures. Credentials and Qualifications: Associates Degree – Histology or Related Sciences Will consider completion of NAACLS approved HT Program Florida state license as a Histotechnologist required. 1 year Histotechnologist experience Internship and/or ASCP certification may be included as part of the experience Experience can be waived is lieu of ASCP certification
