Job OverviewJoin our dynamic agricultural team as a Hog Farmer, where you will play a vital role in the care, management, and overall health of our swine operations.This energetic position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with livestock and farm machinery, ensuring the well-being of animals while maintaining efficient farm operations.Your expertise will help promote sustainable farming practices and animal husbandry, contributing to a thriving agricultural environment.We are committed to supporting your growth and providing a rewarding career in animal agriculture.Responsibilities Oversee daily care and management of hogs, including feeding, watering, and health monitoring Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, feed mixers, and irrigation systems with mechanical knowledge Assist with animal handling, ensuring safe and humane treatment of livestock at all times Conduct equipment repairs, welding, and basic maintenance to keep farm tools and machinery in optimal condition Supervise farm staff or seasonal workers, providing guidance on animal husbandry practices and safety procedures Manage heavy lifting tasks and operate heavy equipment safely during daily farm activities Monitor environmental conditions such as irrigation systems and greenhouse environments to promote healthy growth Qualifications Proven supervising experience in an agricultural or livestock setting Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment repair Hands-on experience with animal husbandry, animal care, and handling livestock Ability to operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely Knowledge of farming practices including irrigation, horticulture, greenhouse management, and growing techniques Familiarity with welding, maintenance tasks, and basic math for record keeping and measurements Prior experience with equine or other farm animals is a plus but not required This job will take a few hours a day some may take longer Join us to make a meaningful impact in sustainable hog farming!
