Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Organizing Assistant to join our team.This role involves assisting clients in decluttering, organizing, and creating functional living spaces.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while quickly moving into a Lead Organizer role.It is also a great part-time position during school hours and summer weekday hours.This is a perfect position for someone seeking flexible, part-time work with hours that may vary based on client demand.Duties Responsible for sorting, moving, and organizing items.Work to group a client's possessions for easy clearing clutter and purging, and place the client's items into organizational systems as directed by Lead Organizer.Help to maintain a tidy, professional environment throughout the course of an organizing job.Responsibilities on site include:? Sort items in a room or space creating logical groupings for client review; use sticky notes provided to help with keeping categories of items clearly labeled while working ? Take out trash onsite, break down recycling onsite, and help load donation items.Help with delivery to a donation place that is preferred by the client.? Use organizing supplies as directed by Team Lead Organizer to create systems with the items that clients keep after decluttering.Goal is to use what clients have but we do find other ways to use their product if it is not working in that space.? Assemble utility racks when working on storage spaces like garages, attics and storage units.For any furniture assembly, we typically bring in a handyman for this but occasionally we do determine last minute that we have something that needs assembly.? Perform additional assignments as directed by Lead Organizer Requirements has a passion for helping others get decluttered and organized and has an understanding of basic organizing techniques or willing to learn needs to be kind and extremely non-judgemental needs to work well with others as typically we work as a team needs to be patient, show empathy and compassion.can assist in arranging and moving items of all sizes and weights and must be able to lift heavy items (20-40 lbs, we work as a team to help each other lift safely of course), climb stairs and ladders.needs to interact well with clients and be flexible in how they work with different personality types.willing to drive distances in RI.While not as common, we do have a policy to help offset time spent in the car when more than an hour.must be willing to sign a non-compete/solicitation/employee agreement must be physically capable:This role is highly active and hands-on.It often involves climbing ladders, lifting shelves, and moving boxes or other awkwardly shaped items as a team.Be prepared to be on your feet for long stretches - and yes, you will definitely break a sweat! needs to be comfortable with Google Photos, taking basic pictures, and occasionally additional tech skills We have a lot of fun and this is a very rewarding part-time job!
