Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MALE Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care and be committed to upholding resident rights while providing direct support in either a home community care setting or a group home environment. This is a 1099 Position. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including light housekeeping, errands, laundry, medication reminders, etc. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking as needed. Monitor and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel. Help clients with mobility. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy. Requirements Must have a Level II background clearance Must have HHA or CNA certification Must have CPR and First Aid certifications Must have reliable transportation Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients' needs. Basic cooking skills to prepare meals that meet dietary requirements. Ability to assist with mobility as needed. Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively. A compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Certification or training in patient care or nursing is advantageous but not mandatory.
