Horseback Riding Director and Instructor

Manage children's summer camp riding program.Care for 17 horses, 6 riding instructors, and oversee riding program.Supervise 6 instructors and schedule small group riding classes.Develop curriculum and ensure camper progress.Campers ride about 3 days per week, ring lessons and walking/lead line trail rides.Most riders are walk/trot beginners with only 10-15 advanced/jumping.Oversee ordering of all feed/hay and vet care.Responsible for all horse/small animal care and barn operations:feed/hay, needed tack, clean/organize all tack and ensure proper fit, schedule vet care and Ferrier as needed.Salary and all meals included.Potential for your child to attend camp as a day camper or overnight camper - negotiable.The position runs from May 26 - August 16.Prefer live-on with private housing included.Will consider commuter.Daily Schedule:10:00 - 11:50 - 1st Period and 2nd Period 12:15 - 2:30 - Lunch and Rest Hour (private lessons held at this time) 2:45 - 5:35 - 3rd Period, 4th Period and 5th period Pay:$2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month Benefits:Relocation assistance Experience:barn management/horse care:1 year (Preferred) horseback riding instructor:1 year (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
