Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, where you will lead the recruitment, training, and management of dedicated volunteers who provide vital support to patients and their families during challenging times. You will serve as the bridge between volunteers and the hospice organization, ensuring a seamless volunteer experience that enhances patient comfort and family support. Responsibilities Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers through effective campus recruitment strategies and social media management to attract diverse candidates. Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to prepare volunteers for their roles in hospice care. Supervise and support volunteer activities, ensuring they adhere to organizational policies and deliver high-quality care. Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and records using platforms such as Salesforce and Raiser's Edge to maintain accurate data tracking. Coordinate with social work teams to match volunteers with patient needs, providing ongoing supervision and feedback. Lead public speaking engagements and community outreach initiatives to promote volunteer programs and raise awareness about hospice services. Oversee social media channels to share volunteer stories, program updates, and engagement opportunities that inspire community involvement. Qualifications Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, or social work within healthcare or community settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide volunteers effectively. Excellent public speaking abilities for presentations, training sessions, and community outreach efforts. Familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge or similar CRM platforms for data management. Experience in campus recruitment, training & development, and social media management is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in recruiting, supervising, and managing diverse groups of volunteers or staff. Passion for social work with a compassionate approach toward end-of-life care; previous hospice or healthcare experience is a plus.
