Hospital Educator Texas Institute for Surgery LL SURG - Dallas, TX 75231 Overview Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: 4 Year Degree Category: Nurse Description The Hospital Educator plays a key role in advancing professional development and delivering educational services to clinical staff. This role fosters excellence in patient care and safety by equipping staff with the knowledge and skills necessary for competent, compliant practice. The Educator assesses learning needs, identifies appropriate training resources, and facilitates programs to support continuous improvement. All educational initiatives are designed and implemented in alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and internal standards, including CIHQ, CMS, OSHA, and hospital policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assess educational needs across clinical departments; develop, facilitate, and coordinate educational programs and learning processes. Ensure activities align with the hospital's mission, values, priorities, and resources. Collaborate with the CNO, Compliance and Human Resources on required training and competencies for CIHQ review. Support clinical staff development through targeted education and mentorship while consistently modeling professional nursing behaviors. Partner in the design, review, and implementation of initial and annual competency assessments. Maintain and demonstrate clinical competency in the designated specialty through ongoing education, training, and practice. Develop and oversee initial competency evaluations, ensuring timely completion and compliance with organizational standards. Serve as administrator for the hospital's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and assignment of educational content. Manage all aspects of the RQI Program, including platform administration, user management, participant enrollment and un
