Job Title:Restaurant Host / Hostess Location:Idyllwild Tavern Reports to:General Manager Job Type: Part-Time Salary:$18-20/hr gratuity Job Summary:We are seeking a welcoming and organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at our restaurant.As the face of our establishment, you'll be responsible for greeting guests with warmth, managing wait lists, and ensuring a smooth seating flow.Your role sets the tone for the dining experience and supports overall service efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly, professional demeanor.Manage wait lists and walk-ins using a seating chart.Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.Communicate accurate wait times and accommodate guest preferences when possible.Monitor the dining area to optimize table turnover and guest flow.Answer phone calls regarding hours of operation, and general inquiries.Collaborate with servers and management to manage seating and guest needs effectively.Maintain a clean and organized host station and entryway.Assist with opening/closing duties and light side work as needed.Qualifications:Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Professional appearance and a positive attitude.Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods.Walk guests to tables repeatedly throughout shift.Light lifting (menus, high chairs, etc.).About Idyllwild Tavern:Idyllwild Tavern is a restaurant in Burbank, CA that features excellent Craft Beer, Cocktails, and Chef-Inspired cuisine.We are looking for team members to be part of our much anticipated grand opening.If you'd like to be part of an opening team that will create a memorable dining and drinking experience, please reach out!
