RECORD ROOM – HOSTESS / SERVER POSITION Long Island City, NY Record Room is seeking highly experienced, hospitality-driven Hostesses and Servers to join our fast-paced speakeasy lounge environment. We are a high-volume nightlife venue known for elevated guest experience, strong cocktail culture, curated music, and a refined but energetic atmosphere. This is not a standard restaurant position. We are looking for individuals who understand hospitality at a high level, can thrive under pressure, maintain professionalism in a busy nightlife environment, and create memorable experiences for every guest that walks through the door. Position Overview As part of the Record Room team, you are expected to provide attentive, polished, and efficient service while maintaining the elevated standards of a premium speakeasy lounge. Ideal candidates are confident communicators, highly organized, fast-moving, and comfortable handling high guest volume while maintaining composure and hospitality. Responsibilities Hostess Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests professionally and warmly Manage reservations, guest flow, and waitlists efficiently Communicate clearly with management, security, and floor staff Maintain strong awareness of table pacing and room capacity Assist in creating a smooth and elevated arrival experience Handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally Maintain organization at the front door and host stand Server Responsibilities Deliver attentive and knowledgeable table service Guide guests through cocktails, menu offerings, and overall experience Maintain strong awareness of timing, pacing, and guest satisfaction Handle high-volume sections efficiently without sacrificing hospitality Upsell premium spirits, cocktails, and bottle service when appropriate Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, runners, and management Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout shift Qualifications Minimum 2 years of upscale hospitality, nightlife, lounge, or fine dining experience preferred Experience in high-volume environments strongly preferred Strong communication and multitasking abilities Professional appearance and positive attitude required Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and hospitality standards is a major plus What We’re Looking For We are looking for individuals who: Move with urgency and professionalism Understand guest engagement and hospitality culture Can maintain composure in fast-paced nightlife settings Are reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Bring positive energy and strong team mentality Take pride in creating exceptional guest experiences Compensation Competitive hourly pay + tips Fast-paced, energetic work environment Opportunity for growth within a highly recognized venue Work alongside an experienced hospitality and nightlife team To apply, please submit your resume along with relevant hospitality experience.
