Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Host. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of hospitality skills, customer service expertise, and a passion for the food service industry. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage server sections and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth guest flow Handle large volumes of guests efficiently and professionally. Maintain an organized waitlist and seat guests at appropriate tables matching the size of their group as tables become available. Foster positive guest relations by ensuring all guests feel valued and appreciated during their visit. Clean and wipe down front door and windows. Stock/organize local brochures and menus for our sister restaurant. Assist with rolling silverware or bussing if directed by manager. Qualifications Previous host, busser, food runner, or other relevant restaurant experience is strongly preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Strong background in food service and customer service roles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus, enhancing guest services capabilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills Weekend availability is required. Must be available to work the three day Memorial Day Day weekend (May 23-25) Candidates that are available for our full season, May through September, will be given priority.
