Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help facilitate smooth seating arrangements, manage guest flow, and support the overall hospitality environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a lively, fast-paced setting while ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive to they are walking out the door. Then as you are holding the door open for them and as they are leaving, you thank them for coming in and welcome them to come back. This position sets the tone for the customer for the whole night, and all you have to do is smile, be nice, and have a good time. Remember, we are on the beach and its always a good time. Responsibilities Warmly greet guests as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and appreciated Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Escort guests to their tables promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the venue Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow Handle guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills Assist with managing guest wait times and provide updates to ensure a positive experience even during busy periods Support the team by maintaining a clean, organized host stand and ensuring guest areas are welcoming and tidy Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively Experience with restaurant scheduling system like Open Table and POS systems such as Skytab POS or Toast POS is advantageous Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with guest services and guest relations Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members Ability to stand, walk, and remain energetic for extended periods in a lively environment Knowledge of serving protocols, restaurant operations, and hospitality standards is beneficial Embark on a rewarding journey where your positive attitude makes every guest’s visit memorable.
