Confidential Controller Opportunity Location: Boone, North Carolina Industry: Hospitality / Retreat / Wellness Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity A unique hospitality and wellness-focused organization in the Boone, North Carolina area is seeking a Controller to lead its in-house accounting and finance function. This is an important hire for an operation that is bringing key financial responsibilities in-house after historically relying on outside support. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who can balance strong accounting discipline with practical business partnership. The Controller will help create structure, improve reporting, strengthen processes, and support leadership with accurate and timely financial information. This is not a role for someone who only wants to stay behind the scenes. The right person will be comfortable owning the details, building consistency, and working closely with leadership and operational departments. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and payroll coordination Maintain fixed asset records and support internal controls Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support audit preparation and coordination with outside partners as needed Help establish and improve accounting processes, workflows, and reporting rhythms Partner with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and accountability Ensure compliance with accounting standards, poli
