Benefits:Employee discounts Free food & snacks Free uniforms Training & development Hotel Housekeeper Job description Established in 1894, for over 130 years, the Colonial Inn has had the pleasure of hosting generations of families who return summer after summer to enjoy all that the Inn - and downtown Harbor Springs - has to offer.Comprising of the Historic Main Inn, the East and West Plazas as well as the standalone Garden Apartment, the Colonial Inn provides guests with clean, comfortable rooms in a unique, historic, guest-centered environment, serving as home away from home for families and individuals.Being the sole hotel within Harbor Springs, we are also a choice destination for weddings and other milestone events.We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team and contribute to the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel rooms.As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience through impeccable room presentation and cleanliness.The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.Position:Hotel Housekeeper Department:Rooms Job Type:Hourly, Seasonal (6 months or less) Reports to:Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities Clean and tidy guest rooms and common areas according to established hotel standards Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public spaces Ensure the proper use and care of cleaning equipment and supplies Report any maintenance issues or damages in guest rooms to the appropriate department Collaborate with front desk and maintenance staff to coordinate guest requests and room turnovers Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals Uphold privacy and security standards for guests and their belongings Assist in deep cleaning tasks and special projects as needed Requirements and Skills Previous experience as a Hotel Housekeeper or in a similar role is advantageous Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment Ability to work independently and efficiently Excellent time management and organizational skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Initiative to identify and address cleaning needs proactively Commitment to maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for guest Compensation & Benefits Thorough training on proper cleaning and disinfecting Career growth opportunities Fun and energetic environment $15 to $19 per hour, based on experience Earned Sick Pay in accordance with the State of Michigan Lodging and dining discounts Low cost employee housing based on availability H2B visa workers welcome to apply!.
