Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding projects, and mechanical components. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose problems accurately. Conduct residential painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and other general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold hotel standards. Operate tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during repairs or upgrades, providing guidance and ensuring quality standards are met. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule maintenance activities, and document completed tasks. Lead emergency response efforts for facility issues or safety hazards while maintaining excellent customer service for guests and staff. Manage projects involving manufacturing or installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades within the hotel premises. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential environments; supervisory experience is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics and technical diagrams. Hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work. Ability to operate electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters confidently. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members and vendors. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising maintenance teams or contractors. Familiarity with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance schedules effectively.
