CATERING SALES MANAGER Reports To: Sr. Catering Sales Manager Department: Sales Classification: Full Time Division: Hotel JOB SUMMARY: The development and solicitation of business from all local markets, to include Weddings, Social Events, Proms & Local corporate meetings, to ensure the necessary bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation for the hotel. The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or through the exercise of sound, reasonable judgment, and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work closely with the Sr. Catering Sales Manager, Director of Catering and the F&B Director, to ensure the hotel is positioned to sell at the best possible rates. Compiles and directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Catering Sales Department to include, but not limited to, the annual and monthly forecast, marketing budget, booking report, and sales meeting minutes Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends, and relate information for development of new marketing strategies Make reasonable recommen
