Job Summary We are seeking a proactive, dedicated and experienced Houseman/Gardener to maintain the grounds of a private residence.The ideal candidate will have strong horticultural knowledge, attention to detal and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Maintain gardens, lawns, hedges, flowerbeds and ornamental plants. Prune, trim, fertilize and water plants as needed. Plant seasonal flowers, shrubs, and trees. Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases; apply treatments as necessary. Maintain irrigation systems, manage watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Keep garden areas clean, tidy, and visually appealing- NO blowers allowed. Rake leaves, remove weeds, and dispose garden waste. Maintain paths, driveways, and outdoor furniture in the garden. Use hand tools and power tools safely for landscape maintenance tasks such as trimming hedges, planting trees or shrubs, and installing landscape features. Clean and maintain all wood fireplaces within the residence. Ability to clean and maintain windows. Decorate for various events/holidays throughout the year. Requirements At least 2 years of experience as a gardener or similar role.Strong knowledge of local plants, flowers and seasonal maintenance.Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.Skilled in using hand an power tools relevant to gardening.Must provide own truck/van.Must be able to stand/walk moderate distances, across landscaped/uneven terrain in hot weather.Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, bend, reach, and stretch.Must be able to lift/move objects over 20 lbs.Must be authorized to work in the US.
