Job Description
About the Role The Legal Counsel will collaborate with project managers, fellow in-house counsel, executives, and external counsel to provide legal support on contracts, disputes, and risk management. They will safeguard the company's interests by reviewing documents, addressing regulatory requirements, protecting rights and entitlements, preparing correspondence, and maintaining records essential for effective dispute resolution. Provide legal advice and support in all aspects of construction law Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts Draft documentation and provide legal support for disputes involving construction projects Ensure proper organization and timely completion of relevant project documents Essential Functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and as well as other applicable industry-specific professional and ethical standards 3 to 7+ years of construction law experience ~ Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a bachelor’s degree Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a business focused approach to support our operations Knowledge of construction and contract law including contract methods and key risk-shifting provisions, with strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking Ability to convey complex contract and legal concepts clearly and succinctly Commercially savvy with strong business acumen to provide practical solutions that enable the company to achieve its financial goals Commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
