Job Description
We are currently seeking a HR Administrative Assistant to join our team at Tasty Baking Company.Tasty Baking Company is best known for its Tastykake brand that produces a variety of cakes, pies, cookies and other baked treats.We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to support our Human Resources team during a critical organizational and clean-up phase.This role will begin as a full-time, on-site position focused on organizing, filing, and streamlining HR records accumulated over several years.As the department becomes more structured, the role will transition into a part-time position with expanded administrative responsibilities supporting HR, payroll, benefits, and IT coordination.Key Responsibilities (Initial Phase - Full-Time):Organize, sort, and file physical HR documents Shred outdated or unnecessary records in compliance with company policies Assist with cleaning and restructuring HR storage systems Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Support general administrative tasks as needed Key Responsibilities (Ongoing Phase - Part-Time):Enter and track IT support tickets Assist with payroll and benefits administrative tasks Navigate internal systems and portals to support HR processes Maintain digital records and ensure accurate data entry Provide general HR administrative support to the team Qualifications:Strong organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of paperwork Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems and portals Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry, etc.) Previous administrative or HR experience preferred but not required Work Environment & Expectations:This role requires working on-site due to the nature of the project The initial workload will involve a significant amount of document handling and organization Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Selected candidates may be invited on-site to better understand the scope of the project before final selection Additional Notes:This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organizing, creating structure, and contributing to foundational improvements within a team.The role will evolve over time, offering broader exposure to HR operations.#indLorna Pay:From $20.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Parental leave Application Question(s):Are you able to work a flexible schedule?
