Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator, Field supports the execution of HR programs and day-to-day HR operations for restaurant field teams. This role serves as a key point of contact for managers and employees, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent HR support across assigned markets. The HR Coordinator supports employee relations, compliance, employee journey touchpoints, performance processes, and overall employee experience, while escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day HR operations at the restaurant level, serving as a primary HR contact for managers and employees on routine HR matters Lead employee relations cases, including intake, documentation, follow-ups, and coordination of investigations and escalate when is appropriate. Maintain strong knowledge of California labor laws and employment compliance requirements, including wage and hour regulations, meal and rest break rules, leave laws, harassment prevention, and workplace posting requirements; provide guidance to ensure compliance across assigned locations. Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices across assigned locations Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing in HR systems Assist with compliance initiatives, including audits, postings, required documentation, and recordkeeping Assist the Benefits team with the leave administration processes Support performance management processes by tracking documentation, timelines, and required follow-ups Collaborate with HR, Training, and Talent Acquisition teams to support staffing needs, training rollouts, and employee engagement initiatives Support engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives at the field level Maintain accurate and organized employee files and documentation Conducts open houses, job fairs and other recruiting sources Assists with new store openings, hiring, documentation and onboarding Analyzes local labor market and identifies special market dynamics to collaborate developing sourcing and hiring tactics, ensures all hiring decision makers abide to the Company hiring objectives Support projects/initiatives as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience in a coordinator, generalist, or field HR support role Prior experience supporting multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations strongly preferred Working knowledge of HR practices and multi-state employment laws, specifically in California and Las Vegas. Strong organizational, follow-up, and execution skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Strong interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Bilingual (English–Spanish) is required QSR experience is required Travel: 50% in restaurant visits
