We are looking for an HR Generalist II to join our growing organization! General Position Summary The HR Generalist II provides support to all employees and management through effective communication and administration across all functions of the assigned business unit(s). Under the direction of the Sr. HR Manager, the HR Generalist II is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions including recruiting, employee/labor relations, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, safety administration, HRIS maintenance, and general HR operations. May conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references, respond to routine questions on HR policy, employee development, policy interpretation, compiles statistics for various HR management reports and legal compliance. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Build strong business partner relationships with management; develop a strong understanding of their global business, their goals, and challenges; anticipate, assess and help to address employee relations and systemic issues. Promote a harmonious working environment to build effective relationships and partner with employees in various HR related topics such as benefits, leaves, policies etc. and resolve issues and problems. Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and employment laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), FMLA, etc. and assist with leaves of absences. Assist with safety administration including, but not limited to: conducting accident investigations, administering return to work programs, managing Worker's compensation claims, TCIR calculations, Osha Logs and annual filing, etc. Assist with recruiting efforts as needed but not limited to; prepare job postings, place recruitment ads, screen applicants and resumes, conduct candidate interviews and reference checks, and provide hiring managers with best qualified candidates. Assist with onboarding new hires but not limited to: orientation, I9 compliance with E-Verify, processing Concur and ensuring documents needed for each hire are complete for onboarding. Assist with offboarding as needed. Assist for compliance with but not limited to: the EEO-1 filing, CA Pay Data Filing, Driver’s List, Quarterly DMV checks for randoms from the Driving List, Harassment mandatory training as required by state, etc. Assist with reporting as needed but not limited to: Monthly Turnover, Monthly TCIR, etc. Assist as needed in evaluating tools, processes, and programs to support talent assessment, development, and succession planning. Coordinate, facilitate, and/or assist in assigned training activities within assigned business unit (i.e. onboarding, orientation programs, compliance training, and leadership performance). Assist as needed, but not limited to: employee recognition programs, i.e.: birthday and anniversary cards, swag, Awards, etc. Assist in implementing process improvements considering system capabilities and business needs. Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee relations inquiries, escalating complex matters to the appropriate HR staff. Maintain integrity of employee data in personnel files and in other database systems (i.e. Paycom). Ensure strict confidentiality of all wage and payroll data. Prepare internal employee communications when needed regarding benefits, payroll or policies and procedures. Performs other duties as needed as a support of day-to-day HR operations.
