HR Manager (Employee Relations Focus) Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Philadelphia that is going through an exciting phase of internal growth and transformation. They are seeking an HR Manager to lead employee relations efforts and support a positive, compliant, and people-first workplace culture. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with leadership and play a key part in shaping the employee experience. What You’ll Be Doing Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters , including complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution Partner with leadership to provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions Manage and support leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA accommodations, military leave) Oversee workers’ compensation and unemployment claims Ensure compliance with FLSA and employment regulations , including assisting with audits Support benefits administration , including ACA (1095-C) compliance and reconciliations Help roll out and support performance management tools and processes , including training initiatives Lead or assist with employee engagement initiatives such as trainings, workshops, and “Lunch & Learns” Why This Role Opportunity to make a real impact within a mission-driven organization High visibility with leadership and ability to shape HR practices Collaborative, people-first culture Interested? Requirements What We’re Looking For 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling sensitive employee matters Solid understanding of employment law and HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.) Ability to partner with leadership and influence decision-making Strong communication skills with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is a plus Benefits Strong benefits package typically associated with nonprofit organizations (including robust healthcare coverage and retirement options)
