Job Description
LHH is seeking an HR Manager to serve as the primary human resources leader for an onsite manufacturing operation in Lincolnton, NC. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who can operate independently while partnering closely with leadership and supporting employees across all levels of the organization. This position blends strategic HR leadership with daily execution and is ideal for someone who thrives in a visible, floor-present environment. This position is fully onsite Monday - Friday. Responsibilities: Serve as the sole point of ownership for all human resources functions Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, compliance, and performance matters Communicate professionally and empathetically with employees Lead employee relations activities including investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution Manage weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for production, skilled trade, and salaried roles Develop, maintain, and interpret HR policies, procedures, and documentation Administer benefits programs and coordinate with external brokers and vendors Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations (wage & hour, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.) Oversee workers’ compensation, safety documentation, and OSHA reporting Support managers with performance management, coaching, and employee documentation Maintain accurate HRIS records and personnel files Provide HR insights, guidance, and reporting as needed Qualifications: 3+ years HR Manager experience, preferably operating as an HR team of one Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience operating as an HR Department of One or in a lean HR structure Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance Confident communicator who can guide leadership and push back when needed Practical, grounded approach — equally comfortable being strategic and hands-on Experience with HRIS and payroll systems in ERP-driven environments Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred; certifications a plus
