Job Description
Azal Inc. is a FedEx Ground Independent Service Provider operating since 2004, employing 70+ team members across multiple terminals. We are seeking a high‑accuracy, experienced HR & Operations Coordinator to support compliance, onboarding, payroll preparation, and daily operational administration. This is NOT an entry‑level position. Only candidates with proven HR experience and strong technical skills will be considered. This role offers (Work From Home) flexibility, but you must live in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area for required in‑person meetings, training and co-working. Key Responsibilities Annual Responsibilities · Process retirement plans, Form 5500, and related filings · File OSHA 300, 300A, 301 · Manage ACA compliance · Support annual insurance renewal Monthly Responsibilities · Submit fleet reports · Process monthly billing and statements Seasonal Responsibilities · Support recruiting and schedule interviews · Manage hiring steps · Process ADP onboarding and terminations. · Manage insurance onboarding/offboarding Biweekly Responsibilities · Process payroll spreadsheets · Track and submit Benefits Reports (Health, Dental, Disability, HSA, PTO, ESST) Weekly Responsibilities · Track unemployment claims and submit appeals · Participate in weekly managers’ meetings Occasional Responsibilities · Visit staff at facilities as needed · Process claims and assist with investigations · Handle HR write‑ups, disciplinary actions, bonus tracking, exit interviews Daily Responsibilities · Communicate with managers, employees, brokers, and vendors · Support new projects. Required Qualifications · Must currently live in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area · Minimum 2 years of professional HR experience and HR systems (not retail, not customer service) · Compliance with labor laws, worker’s compensation, osha, FMLA and ADA · Proven experience with onboarding, employee files, and HR compliance) · Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, digital tools) · Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail · Ability to work independently without supervision · Ability to multitask across multiple projects and manage time‑sensitive responsibilities · Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Compensation & Benefits · Salary: $40,000–$46,000 annually · Health, dental, disability insurance · Paid time off, holidays, ESST · 401(k) plan · Annual performance bonus up to $4,000 · Company‑provided equipment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Retirement plan Application Question(s): Do you currently live in the Minneapolis–St. Paul, MN metro area?
