Greeneview Local Schools is looking for a High School Spring Musical Director for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a supplemental position. The Musical Director is responsible for the musical preparation and execution of the school's theatrical production. This includes leading vocal instruction, coordinating musical elements, and collaborating with the production team to ensure a high-quality performance that supports student growth and engagement. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Select, adapt, and prepare musical scores in alignment with the chosen production Conduct vocal auditions in collaboration with the director and production team Teach and rehearse vocal music with cast members, ensuring proper technique, pitch, rhythm, and expression Lead music rehearsals and coordinate integration with staging and choreography Collaborate with the Director, Choreographer, and Pit Orchestra (if applicable) Recruit, organize, and supervise musicians for live accompaniment or coordinate recorded tracks Schedule and manage sectional and full-cast rehearsals as needed Ensure all music is appropriately licensed and used in compliance with copyright regulations Provide feedback and support to student performers to build confidence and skill Attend all required rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances Assist with sound checks and coordinate with technical staff for microphones and audio balance Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants Qualifications Background in vocal music, music education, or related field preferred Experience directing or assisting with musical theater productions preferred Strong knowledge of vocal pedagogy and ensemble performance Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and community members Organizational and time-management skills to manage rehearsal schedules and production timelines If interested or have questions, please reach out to High School Principal, Yvonne Edwards, by May 7, 2026.
