Job Description
Overview The Sisters of St Francis are currently seeking a FT Director of Human Resources for the management and coordination of employment practices, compensation and benefits programs, safety and wellness programs, performance management, and regulatory compliance for Assisi Heights’ employees. Qualified candidates will have Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or related field plus certification from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Human Resources Generalist, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management, or any similar combination of education and experience. Assisi Heights is the most unique facility in Rochester as the private home for the Sisters of St. Francis underscored by a mission of being a compassionate presence for peace in our world, striving for justice and reverence for all creation. Essential Functions Supervises, trains and provides guidance to the Human Resource staff in order to carry out the functions and mission of the Human Resources department Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance Coordinates the human resource functions of the organization by monitoring and participating in all aspects of recruitment and placement of personnel; administering compensation and benefits programs and developing the performance appraisal system Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts promptly, facilitating resolution strategies, and fostering open communication channels across all levels of the organization. Processes and manages COBRA and MN Continuation offers for eligible employee events.
