Primary Job Title Human Resources Generalist Location Reno, NV Onsite Flexibility Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension) Start: As soon as possible Pay Rate: $32.00 / Hour (USD) Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with flexibility to work outside standard hours to support 3-shift operation; may include early starts as 5:30 AM or late hours until 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM on select days) Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Job Summary: As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. You will assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, providing support to employees and managers, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department. Key Responsibilities Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks. Support employee orientation and training activities, ensuring new hires are equipped with the necessary information and resources. Assist in the administration of HR programs and initiatives, such as employee benefits and employee recognition programs. Provide support for employee inquiries and requests regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Assist in conducting employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Prepare and distribute HR related communications. Assist on special projects as needed, including support of the ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits; participate in safety and operations audits and initiatives. Proactively implement positive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to drive improvement in morale and retention. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration Required Experience: 1–5 years of experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Nice-to-Have Experience: Manufacturing background Required Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Bilingual in Spanish and English (ability to read, write, and communicate in both languages) Preferred Skills: Knowledge of employment laws and regulations Experience with HRIS implementation or administration Strong attention to detail and organizational skills MBA or Master's of Human Resources Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Must be prepared to walk the production floor Must own and wear steel-toed shoes (reimbursable) Flexibility required to support 3-shift operation with potential early starts or extended hours on select days Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401(k) Retirement Fund About the Client: An intelligent power management company focused on sustainability and improving the quality of life.
