Job Description
HR Generalist Santa Clara, CA | 100% Onsite – must be able to drive to different locations Temp‑to‑Hire Pay range: $35-40/hour An organization is seeking a hands‑on HR Generalist to join the team on a temp‑to‑hire basis. This is a true generalist role supporting the full employee lifecycle and requires someone who can step in quickly, own the work, and articulate their HR experience clearly and in detail. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries, policies, and best practices Administer employee benefits, including leading open enrollment and working with vendors to resolve issues Manage protected leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, PFL, workers’ compensation, and accommodations Handle employee relations matters and conduct employee investigations from intake through resolution, partnering with leadership and legal as needed Support talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting coordination, hiring, onboarding, and career fairs Coach and advise managers on employee performance, policy interpretation, and HR best practices Support performance management processes, including evaluations, check‑ins, and development initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws; support audits and HR reporting Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends related to engagement and retention Lead and support HR projects by defining goals, timelines, and deliverables Support training initiatives related to compliance, safety, and inclusion Act as a culture carrier and model organizational values in daily work Perform additional HR duties as assigned Qualifications Proven experience as a true HR Generalist of at least 3 years Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR practices Ability to clearly explain HR processes and responsibilities step‑by‑step Hands‑on experience with HRIS and ATS systems Paycom experience is a plus, not required Experience handling benefits administration, leaves, employee relations, and investigations • Valid California driver’s license required Comfortable working fully onsite and in a fast‑paced environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
