Job Description
Description Summary / General Purpose: The Human Resources (HR) Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, benefits and leave administration, performance management and training administration, coaching leaders on employment law, supporting accounting dept. payroll administration, and enforcing company policies and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for HR department staffing, training, development, and performance management. Oversee HR department daily workflow, customer service, and annual programs and activities. Partner with leadership to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Provide support and guidance to HR staff, leadership, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent. Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Responsible for HR reporting including EEO-1 and OSHA. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Regularly review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
