Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and executing repairs to maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Your expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical knowledge will be vital in delivering top-tier property maintenance services. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, boilers, refrigeration units, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform equipment repairs including HVAC/R systems, appliance repairs, welding tasks, and mechanical component replacements. Execute HVAC system design modifications or upgrades to improve efficiency and comply with safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all performed tasks. Operate field service vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all transportation regulations. Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency repairs or system failures. Use technical skills in ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems as needed for specialized projects or troubleshooting. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair. Knowledge of construction principles relevant to mechanical system installation or upgrades. Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to HVAC design and plumbing systems. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and equipment repair. Hands-on experience with field service operations involving air conditioning units and property maintenance tasks. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues. Welding skills and experience with equipment repair are highly desirable. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for specific roles involving driver requirements. Additional certifications in HVAC/R technology or refrigeration systems are advantageous but not mandatory.
