It is also eligible for a Weekend Shift Differential. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for preventative maintenance, plant operations, repairs and minor modifications to Air handling units and fixed fans Ductwork Reheat coils and boxes, AC compressor chiller systems Water coolers, Associated control end devices Steam systems Coordinates with all trades such as electrical and plumbing to keep all systems operating at highest reliability Responsible for implementation of energy conservation techniques on HVAC systems Makes periodic rounds to all building support equipment and maintains operating log of conditions observed Responsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and P/M records through the CMMS system. Maybe required to be on call. Must provide the highest level of personal protection at all times. Monitor, respond and acknowledge alarms on the BAS system Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Mechanical knowledge of occupational machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety on the job for the protection of people, data, property, and the institution. The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule, procedure, or guideline. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to utilize tools of the trade. The ability to communicate, listen, and comprehend information and ideas and work collaboratively with others. Must be “self-starter” with high degree of initiative Minimum Job
