Job Description
HVAC Service Technician / Installer ComfiTrust – Boston, MA Job Type: Full-time Pay: Competitive (based on experience) ABOUT COMFITRUST ComfiTrust is a rapidly expanding provider of high-efficiency HVAC solutions across the Greater Boston area. We deliver premium heating and cooling systems designed to improve comfort, reduce energy consumption, and provide lasting reliability for homeowners. As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced and customer- focused HVAC Service Technicians to join our field operations team. The Opportunity As an HVAC Service Technician / Installer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and cooling systems. You will work directly in homeowners’ properties, assessing system issues, recommending solutions, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal performance and safety. What You’ll Do Install, service, and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ductwork. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and seasonal tune-ups. Diagnose system issues and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions. Inspect systems before and after service to ensure proper operation. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and Massachusetts codes. Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, pricing, and recommendations. Maintain accurate service records, job notes, and materials usage. Use proper PPE and follow all safety procedures. Stay current with HVAC technology, tools, and best practices. Work independently and with team members to complete jobs efficiently. Requirements 2+ years of HVAC service and installation experience (residential required; commercial an asset). EPA Section 608 Certification (required). Valid driver’s license with a clean record and access to a reliable vehicle. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in attics, rooftops, and confined spaces.
