The HVAC Sheet Metal Associate position involves the installation, fabrication, and repair of ductwork in commercial projects The role requires a combination of technical skills, physical endurance, and strict compliance with safety standards. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, bending, and forming sheet metal using hand tools (snips, pliers) and power equipment (benders, shears). Experience installing HVAC ducting, VAV boxes, fire dampers, and curb units in commercial settings. Strong shop math skills for calculating angles, taking precise measurements, and material estimation. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for long periods, and ability to lift 50–75 lbs frequently. Strict adherence to OSHA standards, local building codes, and company safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to take direction and coordinate with other trades on job sites. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MIG/TIG welding or soldering sheet metal. Ownership of standard tools of the trade. Qualifications Proven experience as a commercial sheet metal lead Expertise with SMACNA standards and HVAC systems. Maintain and ensure the safe use of all power tools, hand tools, and lifting equipment Valid Driver's License Clean drug test Punctual Willing to work hours as needed Self-Motivated, Goal Oriented, Responsible, Coachable, Team Oriented.
