About Us Valley Home Insulation is a rapidly growing, mission-driven energy efficiency and electrification company serving communities across Massachusetts through the Mass Save program. We specialize in audits, weatherization, insulation, heat pumps, and related field services, with a strong focus on multilingual and underserved communities. About the Role Valley Home Insulation is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician with at least 5 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing heat pump systems. This role is critical to our growing in-house HVAC division and requires a technician who can confidently complete full installations from start to finish. Core Responsibilities Install ducted and ductless heat pump systems (Samsung experience a plus) Perform system startup, commissioning, and testing Install and modify ductwork systems (including design adjustments in the field) Run and pressure-test line sets , perform proper evacuation and charging Complete electrical connections in coordination with licensed electricians Diagnose and service existing heat pump systems Troubleshoot system performance issues and callbacks Ensure all work meets Massachusetts code and Mass Save program requirements Maintain clean, organized job sites and documentation Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience Proven experience with: Heat pump installation & service (ductless + ducted) Ductwork installation Line set installation, brazing, pressure testing, and vacuum procedures System startup and commissioning Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Valid driver’s license EPA Certification (required) Preferred Qualifications Experience with Samsung systems (or similar inverter systems) Experience working within Mass Save or energy efficiency programs Ability to read and interpret Manual J / system designs OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain) Refrigeration License (MA) or in progress Compensation & Growth (You can tweak this depending on how aggressive you want to be) $40-$55/hour depending on experience Performance bonuses per completed installation Overtime opportunities Clear path to: Lead Installer HVAC Manager / Division Lead Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: HVAC: 5 years (Required) Language: English and Spanish (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Lawrence, MA 01840 (Required) Work Location: In person
