Overview Serves as an experienced technical resource supporting and leading hydrogeologic investigations and groundwater-related components of environmental, water resources, and infrastructure projects. This role applies advanced hydrogeologic principles to evaluate groundwater systems, support permitting and compliance, and deliver technically sound analyses while mentoring junior staff and supporting project delivery objectives. Experience with landfill compliance, groundwater remediation, aquifer pumping tests, mine dewatering, and regulatory coordination at mining and industrial facilities is preferred. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction Perform work with moderate independence, exercising sound technical judgment on complex assignments. Receive general direction from senior hydrogeologists or project managers, with review focused on results rather than methods. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior hydrogeologists, technicians, and field staff. Participate in internal technical reviews to ensure accuracy, defensibility, and compliance with regulatory and company standards. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance and consistency with project objectives and regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and support project teams with the goal of maximizing performance and efficiency. Monitor QA/QC practices and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and identify opportunities for improvement. At the Operational and Company Level Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate hydrogeologic findings into broader project solutions. Communicate directly with clients, regulators, and stakeholders regarding groundwater conditions, study results, and recommendations. Support project managers with scope development, scheduling input, and task-level budgeting. Assist with proposal development, including technical approaches, schedules, and cost estimates. Promote best practices, safety, and quality standards across hydrogeologic work. Coordinate subcontractors and drilling contractors to support field operations and project execution. Do the Work Plan, conduct, and interpret hydrogeologic investigations, including groundwater monitoring, aquifer testing, pumping tests, and data analysis. Evaluate groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and surface water–groundwater interactions. Lead hydrogeologic investigations at industrial, mining, and contaminated sites, including landfills and aggregate operations. Support site characterization, aquifer characterization, groundwater exploration, and contaminant plume delineation activities. Prepare technical memoranda, reports, permit applications, and regulatory compliance documentation. Prepare environmental compliance reports, regulatory submittals, technical memoranda, and defensible technical documentation for state and local agencies. Analyze and interpret groundwater, geological, geophysical, and water quality data using accepted analytical and numerical methods. Perform environmental data management, statistical analyses, trend analyses, and data visualization. Support groundwater modeling efforts and interpretation of results, as appropriate. Develop site conceptual models incorporating geology, hydrogeology, climate conditions, and contaminant distribution. Perform chemical data evaluation and contaminant fate and transport analyses to support remedial decision-making and compliance reporting. Assist with development of remediation, corrective action, mitigation, mine dewatering, or water supply strategies. Develop and implement remedial action plans, water quality investigation scopes, and corrective action strategies. Support reclamation planning, mine permit compliance, and mine closure activities. Support well installations, drilling operations, borehole conversion, well reconstruction activities, and sampling events; oversee contractor
