Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings Operate POS system to process orders accurately and efficiently Scoop ice cream with precision, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards at all times Upsell additional toppings, sundaes, or specialty items to enhance the customer experience Handle cash transactions, perform cash handling duties, and give correct change using basic math skills Maintain sanitation and food handling standards by cleaning scoops, counters, and work areas regularly Support food preparation tasks like topping setup, serving cones or cups, and managing inventory of supplies Requirements Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required Ability to obtain food handlers certification to gain knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights (like ice cream tubs), and work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy; experience in grocery stores or retail math is advantageous Join us in creating joyful moments through delicious treats!
