Job OverviewJoin our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Server/Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that creates memorable experiences for our guests! In this energetic role, you'll serve delicious hand scooped ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, crafted sodas and treats with enthusiasm, handle cash transactions accurately, and ensure every customer leaves with a smile.Your positive attitude and quick service will help foster a fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills while working in a lively food environment.This is a kiosk style shop with no inside seating so cleaning tasks are easier.Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings Prepare and serve food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Operate TOAST POS system to process transactions swiftly and accurately Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Upsell additional products like fancy cones, specialty sundaes or beverages to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning scoops, utensils, tables, and counters Support food industry best practices by adhering to sanitation standards and food handling protocols Assist with managing inventory to keep the store organized and inviting Qualifications Previous experience in food service, retail, or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key! Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for upselling opportunities Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a food handling environment Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail Previous kitchen or caf experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Join us in creating joyful moments through exceptional service!
