Position Summary Under the direction of the Radiology Director, the Imaging Coordinator oversees daily workflow and patient flow within the Radiology Department to help minimize patient wait times and maintain high-quality patient care. This role coordinates imaging procedures and biopsies with physicians’ offices and other departments, supports PACS operations, assists with quality improvement initiatives, and helps maintain departmental policies, procedures, and equipment functionality. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, and committed to providing exceptional service to patients, physicians, and staff. Key Responsibilities Department Operations & Workflow Manage daily work assignments and patient flow to optimize efficiency and reduce wait times. Coordinate radiology procedures and biopsies with physician offices and hospital departments. Assist with daily Kronos/timekeeping entries. Support department leadership with operational and workflow improvements. Policy, Quality & Compliance Complete policy and procedure updates as needed for approval by the Radiology Director. Assist with the development and maintenance of quality improvement projects. Maintain compliance with departmental and organizational standards. PACS & Technical Support Support the PACS/Clinical Lead in managing the radiology PACS system. Participate in occasional on-call support for PACS-related issues. Assist with equipment troubleshooting and coordinate service/repair requests with vendors as needed. Provide input regarding equipment needs and purchasing recommendations. Customer Service & Communication Resolve patient and physician office concerns promptly and professionally. Escalate unresolved concerns to the Radiology Manager in a timely manner. Maintain strong working relationships with radiologists, physicians, technologists, students, patients, and co-workers. Reporting Relationships Reports to: Radiology Director and Radiologists Supervisory Responsibilities: Performs supervisory duties as directed by department leadership Collaborates With: PACS/Clinical Lead X-ray and imaging personnel Physicians and Radiologists Patients and students Other clinical departments Required Qualifications Education & Certification Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved school. Eligible for or registered with the ARRT. Required Modality Certification/Training Successful completion of on-the-job training or registry/certification in at least one of the following modalities: CT MRI Ultrasound Nuclear Medicine Mammography Experience Minimum of two (2) years of previous radiology experience required. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of HIS, RIS, and PACS systems preferred. Radiology IT experience is a plus; PACS training may be provided for qualified candidates. Why Join Delta Health?
