Job Title:We have an immediate opening for an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter near Birmingham, AL Location:On-Site, multiple locations near Birmingham, AL Hours:Salary:Competitive / DOE (Depending on expreince) Commute:This position requires commute (paid hour and reimbursable mileage).Company Description Oready is a federal government contracting firm operating across the United States and internationally.With more than 14 years of experience, Oready specializes in delivering and managing complex training projects for city, county, state, federal, and military organizations.Its clients include agencies such as the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.Additional information is available at www.oready.com.Job Description Oready is seeking an immediate, qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide on-site interpretation services in professional workplace settings.Assignments may support meetings, trainings, presentations, interviews, personnel discussions, and other business-related events.Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate and professional ASL interpretation for scheduled assignments Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing participants and hearing participants Maintain confidentiality, neutrality, and professional conduct at all times Arrive on time and prepared for each assignment Comply with site access, security, and identification requirements Coordinate with Oready and designated points of contact regarding scheduling and service delivery Maintain accurate records of hours worked and assignment details Qualifications Prior ASL interpreting experience preferred Potential travel or commute (paid) Proof of ASL interpreting certification or equivalent professional qualification required Experience in workplace, government, legal, HR, or training settings preferred Strong communication skills and professional judgment Ability to meet background check and site access requirements Additional Information Part-time / As-needed In-person work Variable hours based on assignment needs Travel may be required depending on assignment location Job Types:Part-time, Contract Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Mileage reimbursement Paid time off Relocation assistance Travel reimbursement Vision insurance Application Question(s):Do you have professional ASL interpreter certification or equivalent credential?
