Job Summary: The In-Kind Donations Coordinator oversees the efficient management and distribution of donated goods for the Center. This role ensures compliance with established processes and procedures and manages the disbursement of items to meet organizational needs. Responsible for additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations. Duties and Responsibilities i nclude, but are not limited to the following: Manage all in‑kind donations , including sorting, processing, inventory tracking, redistribution, and disposal according to organizational guidelines. Provide strong donor and volunteer support , ensuring positive donor interactions and training/guiding volunteers in sorting and handling donated goods. Coordinate distribution of goods by stocking and rotating items in the clothing closet and collaborating with program staff to meet guest needs. Oversee donation logistics , including driving the Center vehicle to pick up donations and coordinating with kitchen and facilities staff on relevant items. Maintain organized, safe storage areas and support strategies for managing high‑volume donation periods. Ensure compliance with policies and safety standards , including reporting incidents, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding organizational values. Perform administrative and operational tasks , such as maintaining donation logs, recommending supply purchases All other duties as assigned. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. (NOTE: A blend of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree.) Minimum of 2 years of nonprofit support experience or operations work preferred Required Skills/Abilities: High school diploma or GED Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a thrift store or other retail environment Minimum of 1 year working with volunteers Experience with donor databases, digital communications software nonprofit accounting systems, or CRMs preferred Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Understanding of nonprofit, human services, or trauma-informed environments preferred Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task. Strong communication skills – written and oral. Experience and concrete knowledge of Microsoft 365 at its programs Work cooperatively in a team environment. Dependable and reliable, able to lift 30 lbs Good sense of judgment and common sense. Clean Driving record Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to pass a background check.
