Job Description
Job Title: Inbound Logistics Specialist Location: Culver City, CA (Remote or Hybrid) Duration: 6-Month Contract Pay Rate: $45/hour Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Specialist to support and optimize supply chain operations for a leading apparel brand. This role will play a key part in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing inbound shipments, and ensuring seamless coordination across vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with both domestic and offshore suppliers. Key Responsibilities SOP Development & Implementation Establish, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for inbound logistics Ensure processes align with offshore vendor operations and evolving business needs Inbound Shipment Coordination Manage and track inbound shipments from domestic and international vendors Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of incoming goods Vendor Management Act as the primary point of contact for inbound logistics vendors Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and supply chain issues Process Optimization Identify opportunities to improve logistics workflows and reduce costs Implement best practices to increase efficiency and scalability Inventory & Receiving Oversight Coordinate receipt, inspection, and reconciliation of inbound goods Partner with warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and quality assurance teams Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments Compliance & Documentation Ensure all logistics activities comply with applicable regulations Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, inventory, and processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Proven experience in logistics coordination, with a focus on inbound logistics preferred Strong understanding of supply chain operations and best practices Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Proficiency in logistics, ERP, or inventory management systems Preferred Qualifications Experience working with offshore vendors and global supply chains Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs processes Mathys+Potestio values applicants of all backgrounds and experiences.
