Income Maintenance Supervisor II – Work First, Childcare, & Energy

JOB An Income Maintenance Supervisor II (IMS II) provides supervision, training, and support to the Work First Family Assistance (WFFA), Subsidized Childcare Assistance (SCCA), and Energy team members. Job responsibilities include: Directing department employees; instructing, reviewing work, assigning work, maintaining standards, acting on employee concerns, selecting new employees and appraising employee performancesReviewing program objectives and service delivery needs with staff as well as formulating specific goals and objectives for this programWorking directly with internal and external customers and community partnerWorking directly with Childcare providersPreparing reports/documentation and ensuring the unit is meeting all timeliness and quality measuresThe ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of WFFA, SCCA, & Energy policies Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteGeneral computer knowledge and ability to learn and navigate various programs and databasesKnowledge of NC FastExcellent customer service skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and reassess as priorities change in a fast-paced environmentAbility to de-escalate upset customers / remain calm in stressful situationsStrong written and oral communication skills Must be available to work during emergency situations.
