Job Full Description Maintenance Technician - Mechanical & Electrical Location: Wytheville, VA Shift: 2nd Shift; 3PM - 11PM | Reports to: Maintenance Manager Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, repair, and maintain production machinery, equipment, and facility systems used to manufacture high-quality automotive parts. This position involves both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs on production equipment. Diagnose issues, replace defective parts, and adjust components for optimal performance. Conduct preventive maintenance including lubrication, belt checks, coolant changes, and system cleaning. Install and maintain motors, sensors, conveyors, and robotic systems. Troubleshoot PLCs, relays, switches, wiring, and circuit boards. Assist with equipment installations and layout changes to improve workflow. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with 5S and safety standards. Qualifications: Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field or 5-7 years of equivalent maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Basic knowledge of PLC programming and robot control systems. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise and physical activity (lifting up to 100 lbs).
