Posted Salary Range: USD $95,000.00 - USD $107,000.00 /Yr. Overview: Infection Control Nurse Grandview Rehab is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Infection Control Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility team in Connecticut. The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for overseeing the facility’s infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and promoting a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Qualifications: Current RN license in Connecticut (required) Previous experience in long-term care/skilled nursing preferred Infection Preventionist certification (IP-C) preferred or willingness to obtain Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and infection control standards Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program Conduct infection surveillance, tracking, trending, and reporting Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and Connecticut Department of Public Health guidelines Investigate and manage outbreaks and infection-related concerns Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, PPE usage, and isolation procedures Monitor antibiotic stewardship initiatives Perform audits related to hand hygiene, sanitation, and infection control practices Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and department heads to implement corrective action plans Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports for surveys and inspections Participate in QAPI and risk management initiatives
