Job Description
Internship Opportunities The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking temporary interns with a minimum of 10 hours/week and a maximum of 35 hours/week. Our internships may offer flexibility in allowing some remote work; however, candidates must be willing to be on-site in Annapolis, Maryland. All work hours must be done Monday - Friday during standard business hours. Currently filling for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026. Enterprise Application Solutions (EAS) Division The EAS division of the Anne Arundel County Office of Information Technology (OIT) is currently seeking a qualified candidate for an onsite internship. The intern will work in a team environment to develop and maintain software using industry-standard best practices. Additionally, the intern will gain experience with the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing. OIT EAS supports the County business units by modernizing their departmental processes with custom-developed web-based and mobile software. EAS uses a variety of technologies: Java, React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, React Native. Help Desk Internship This internship is an extension of academic instruction and provides the opportunity to turn classroom knowledge instruction into practical application in the workplace. The intern will draw upon knowledge gained through their college coursework in order to perform the principal assignment and/or projects of this internship. The intern will learn how to identify and replace the current tech refresh cycle for county PCs and search for lower cost and more effective technology solutions and make recommendations on how to proceed. Administrative Internship This internship is an extension of academic instruction and provides the opportunity to turn classroom instruction into practical application in the workplace.
